Terms of Service

Welcome to Raid Strategist. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this platform.

These terms apply to all users of the platform, including visitors, registered users, and administrators. Your use of Raid Strategist constitutes your acceptance of these terms.

Raid Strategist is a community-driven platform designed for Final Fantasy XIV players to import, organize, share, and discover raid strategy boards. Our platform enables the community to:

• Create and manage strategy boards for various FFXIV duties (raids, trials, dungeons, alliance raids)
• Organize multiple strategy boards into folders for better management
• Discover and browse strategy boards shared by the community
• Like and favorite helpful strategy boards created by other users
• Search and filter strategy boards by duty, expansion, type, difficulty, and other criteria
• Report inappropriate content to help maintain community standards
• View strategy boards using an embedded preview feature with two providers: Ennea's preview and WTFDIG preview (third-party tools not operated by Raid Strategist)

All strategy boards and folders created on the platform are publicly visible and searchable by default, allowing the community to benefit from shared knowledge and strategies.

To create and manage strategy boards, you must create an account by authenticating with Discord. By using Discord authentication, you agree to Discord's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
• Ensuring your Discord account remains in good standing

Custom Username: You may optionally set a custom username that will be displayed publicly on your boards and folders. Custom usernames must be unique across the platform and must comply with our Community Guidelines. Your Discord username is never displayed publicly - only your custom username (if you set one) will be visible to other users.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in harmful behavior, or abuse the platform in any way.

To ensure platform performance and fair usage, the following limits apply:

• Strategy Boards: Each user can create up to 100 strategy boards. Board names are limited to 50 characters.
• Folders: Each user can create up to 100 folders. Each folder can contain a maximum of 10 strategy boards. Folder names are limited to 50 characters.
• Like System: You can like boards and folders created by other users. You cannot like your own content. Each user can like an item only once.
• Custom Username: Custom usernames must be unique across the platform and are limited to 50 characters.
• Public Content: All boards and folders you create are publicly visible and searchable by default. There is no option to make content private.

These limits are subject to change, and we will provide reasonable notice if significant changes are made. We reserve the right to adjust limits to maintain platform performance and quality.

You retain full ownership of any content you create and share on our platform, including strategy boards and folders. However, by posting content on Raid Strategist, you understand and agree that:

• All boards and folders you create are publicly visible and searchable by the community
• You grant us a license to display, distribute, and make your content available to other users on the platform
• You grant us the right to moderate and review your content for compliance with these Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines
• Other users can view, copy, and use your strategy boards for their own purposes

Content Requirements: All content you create must be related to Final Fantasy XIV raid strategies, tactics, or related gameplay information. Content must be appropriate, accurate to the best of your knowledge, and comply with our Community Guidelines.

You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not violate any laws, infringe on the rights of others, or contain offensive, harmful, or inappropriate material. We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any strategy boards shared on the platform.

You agree not to use the platform in any way that violates these Terms of Service or our Community Guidelines. Prohibited uses include, but are not limited to:

• Posting content that is not related to Final Fantasy XIV raid strategies
• Posting offensive, harmful, inappropriate, or illegal content
• Harassing, abusing, or harming other users
• Violating any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Infringing on intellectual property rights, including Square Enix trademarks
• Creating spam, repetitive, or unwanted content (including excessive board or folder creation)
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the platform, other accounts, or our systems
• Interfering with or disrupting the platform's operation or other users' experience
• Impersonating others, providing false information, or misrepresenting your identity
• Misusing the reporting system (e.g., submitting false or malicious reports)
• Using automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform without authorization

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension or termination, and may be reported to appropriate authorities when applicable.

We are committed to maintaining a safe and respectful community. We reserve the right to review, modify, or remove any content that violates these Terms of Service or our Community Guidelines.

We may take the following actions:

• Remove content that violates our policies
• Suspend or ban accounts that repeatedly violate terms or engage in harmful behavior
• Review reported content and take appropriate action, including removal or account sanctions
• Modify or delete content without prior notice if it violates our guidelines
• Take action on content or behavior that we determine to be harmful to the community, even if not explicitly listed in our guidelines

Reporting System: Users can report inappropriate content through the reporting feature. Reports can be submitted for: inappropriate names, inappropriate content, or incorrect duty associations. We take all reports seriously and investigate them promptly. False or malicious reports may result in action against the reporting account.

Our moderation decisions are final. We are not obligated to provide detailed explanations for content removal or account actions, but we strive to be fair and consistent in our enforcement.

Platform Ownership: The Raid Strategist platform, including its original content, features, functionality, design, and software, is owned by the creator of Raid Strategist and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

User Content Ownership: You retain ownership of any strategy boards, folders, and other content you create on the platform. However, by using the platform, you grant us the license described in the User Content section above.

Square Enix and FINAL FANTASY XIV: FINAL FANTASY XIV, FFXIV, and all related content, characters, and trademarks are the property of Square Enix Co., Ltd. and Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. Raid Strategist is an unofficial fan site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Square Enix. This platform is created by fans, for fans, and operates independently of Square Enix.

You may not use Square Enix trademarks, logos, or copyrighted material in a way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation with Square Enix. All references to FINAL FANTASY XIV are used for descriptive purposes only.

Third-Party Services: The Preview feature uses embedded services from two providers: Ennea's preview (FFXIV Strategy Board Viewer) and WTFDIG preview. These services are independent from Raid Strategist and are provided by third parties. The preview is embedded directly in our pages using iframes, and you can switch between the two providers using tabs. When you use the Preview feature, you are subject to each provider's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or content of these embedded services.

Raid Strategist is provided free of charge to all users. The service does not include advertisements and will remain ad-free. There are no paid features, premium subscriptions, or hidden costs.

Should hosting and operational costs become a concern in the future, we may seek voluntary community support to continue operations. Any such request would be clearly communicated, and support would be entirely optional. We will never require payment to use the platform.

We reserve the right to discontinue the service if it becomes financially unsustainable, but we will provide reasonable notice should such a situation arise.

Service Availability: We strive to maintain continuous service availability, but we do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or other circumstances beyond our control. In the unlikely event that the service is permanently discontinued, all user data will be permanently deleted.

No Warranty: The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times, free from errors, or meet your specific requirements.

Strategy Accuracy: We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or effectiveness of any strategy boards shared on the platform. Strategy boards are created by users and may contain errors, outdated information, or strategies that do not work as intended. Use strategies at your own risk and verify their accuracy before relying on them.

Data Loss: While we take reasonable measures to protect user data, we are not liable for any loss of data, including strategy boards, folders, or account information, due to technical failures, service interruptions, or other circumstances. We recommend keeping backups of important strategy boards.

General Limitation: In no event shall Raid Strategist, its operators, or its creators be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Termination by Us: We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the platform immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to: violation of these terms, violation of Community Guidelines, abusive behavior, spam, or any other activity we deem harmful to the platform or community.

Termination by You: You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. Upon account deletion:

• All your personal information will be permanently removed
• All your strategy boards and folders will be permanently deleted
• All your likes, favorites, and reports will be permanently deleted
• You will be logged out of the platform

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please ensure you have backups of any important strategy boards before deleting your account.

Upon termination (whether by you or us), your right to use the platform will immediately cease, and we may delete your account and all associated data.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time to reflect changes in our platform, legal requirements, or community needs. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date on this page.

Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms of Service. If you do not agree to the changes, you should discontinue use of the platform and delete your account.

We encourage you to review these Terms of Service periodically to stay informed about your rights and obligations when using Raid Strategist.
